Great service here at Pho Huong Viet! David is super kind and personable. The beef pho, chicken pho, rolls, bun cha are all so yummy. Really love the food here and all the hard work that the kitchen staff provides. Definitely a favorite place of mine to eat. Thank you very much!!

If I could give it 10 stars I would. When I was living in SF, going here once a week was one of my favorite routines. It may be one of my favorite meals ever, and David (the one-man waiter/host/manager show) is the absolute man. The soup is incredibly aromatic, subtle, and satisfying, with a very generous portion of high quality meat. When talking to David about how they make it so good, they do the little things, like going to the market early to get the best free range chicken, and boiling the beef in fresh water to remove grittiness--which makes for an artisan, meaty, perfect bowl of steaming hot broth. What more could you ask for? David if you're reading this, hi it's been a while :)

This place has some of the best Pho Ga in the city made more in the northern style sans the bean sprouts. I've been coming for years since they opened, and it is run by a small crew consisting mostly of family. Yea, sometimes they get full and things take a bit longer, but that is to be expected in a small restaurant. I usually enjoy also getting the crab spring rolls to go along with the pho. The vegetarian version are decent, but they don't quite hit the same way. I also like their combo pho, but I tend to like pho ga better.

Today was my first time eating the Bun Cha. It was so good. The fish sauce is homemade, so it wasn't salty at all. I didn't have that thirsty feeling after eating, which is good. When I eat at other Vietnamese establishments, I often have a thirsty feeling after consuming too much fish sauce. The meatballs were moist and tasty, and so was the pork. Best lunch I've had in a while. The service is always friendly here, and even if they are often short staffed, they do their best to make sure customers are happy. The best place for pho in the Outer Richmond for sure. Will definitely be coming back for more, and will bring friends as well!

This is the best pho I've ever had in the USA. It's the only place I've had that actually reminds me of the pho I had in Hanoi. I was shown this place by my friend who grew up near where the owner did in Vietnam. Also their house made sauce is to die for - I literally take it home and put it on all of my food for weeks after. I love this place so much and the sauce is my precious

It was cold, it was rainy and the cure was comforting pho. We learned that North Vietnamese pho is served without all the bells and whistles of jalapeño slices, bean sprouts and Thai basil. Slightly dressed with flat rice noodles, chopped cilantro and spring onions, Pho Huong Viet's pho was all chicken-y goodness with a rich yet clean broth. Maybe it was so delicious because they use free-range chicken? Crab fried spring rolls (10.95) were worth waiting for and arrived hot and crispy. My swim team child made the boon cha swimming in a savory fish sauce disappear so fast I never got a taste. The owner was really busy serving all the tables including family behind us (children always need a little extra service) so we quickly ordered another large bowl of pho #2 to go and got the check. I think the owner mistook our streamlining his process for not wanting a receipt. Oops. We'll return the next rainy day or want only pho for a light meal.

My new FAVORITE pho restaurant in the city. The broth is sooooooo comforting. So clear, so savory, and not oily at all. I normally don't order chicken pho when I go to pho restaurants but goddamn the chicken pho here is phenomenal. So was the beef pho, crispy spring rolls, and boon cha. Just... order EVERYTHING here. You won't be disappointed.
